Mother Nature makes the best illusion.
Right now the moon is at the perfect distance to appear in our sky exactly the same size as the sun, and therefore block it out.
The sun’s 864,000-mile diameter is fully 400 times greater than that of our puny moon, which measures just 2,160 miles. But the moon also happens to be about 400 times closer to the sun than the Earth (the ratio varies as both orbits are elliptical), and as a result , when the orbital planes intersect and the distances align favorably, the new moon can appear to completely blot out the disk of the sun.

When you hear the words, “deadly, evil medical experiments”…
What years do you think of?
The 1940’s immediately come to mind, I’m sure.
Prepare to think…
And by “differently”, I mean far more 2011:
[via Forbes] Nine Italian cardiologists have been arrested as part of a broad investigation into serious medical misconduct at Modena Hospital, according to multiple reports in the Italian media. The investigation encompasses at least 67 other individuals and a dozen medical equipment companies, including 6 foreign companies. The charges include conspiracy, fraud, embezzlement, bribery, forgery and performing unauthorized clinical trials. Several news reports mentioned that stents and angioplasty balloons were involved.
According to one Italian website, the investigation started in 2011 in response to allegations by a group, Amici del Cuore (Friends of the Heart), that patients at the Modena Hospital (Policlinico di Modena) received treatments and procedures as part of unauthorized experiments. In some cases the procedures may have resulted in fatal outcomes. The accused physicians ”performed experimental tests without making it known to patients for the sole purpose of writing about these trials in specialized magazines collecting money through bogus non-profit organization,” the website reported. [All translations in this story taken from Google Translate.]
“We wanted to ask questions about certain procedures that went far beyond the standard ones, and that seemed unusual to us,” the president of Friends of the Heart, Professor Giovanni Spinella, told Il Salvagente. “We were aware that invasive procedures were performed, often on peripheral organs, and sometimes had little to do [with] the heart. And unfortunately had caused discomfort and damage to several patients.”
Another Italian site quoted a police official who called it “a major operation” and said the accused “committed human clinical trials without authorization and installed medical devices and equipment defective in patients unaware of being subjected to an experimental treatment.” The accused physicians then “created false medical records to cover medical errors.” The Italian media said the investigation included recordings of telephone conversations between the suspects. The Italian police named the operation camici sporchi (“dirty gowns”).
When it comes to the evils of men…
And science? [7 Absolutely Evil Medical Experiments]
Sadly, for some, what they will do and all in the pursuit of “truth”…
This hard-hitting video from Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, reveals the dark side of science: Genocide, radiation experiments, human guinea pigs, eugenics, genetic pollution, terminator robots and more.
This video reveals why humanity must STOP out-of-control “science” and honor the precautionary principle. END GMOs, toxic vaccine additives, biological weapons and other threats to humanity.

For these often extremely intelligent and well meaning men…
Perform sometimes horrific acts, and all in the name of the “greater good” or?
Just to see if they “could”.
Without even thinking…
Perhaps if they should.
Well, THIS (below) is going to be a far bigger problem…
Than just the obvious.
[via NBCNewYork] Human waste has been pouring into New York Harbor from the fifth largest sewage treatment plant in the nation since it was hit by Sandy, and the operator of the plant cannot predict when it will stop.
A 12-foot surge of water swamped the Newark plant that serves some three million people when Sandy struck on Oct. 29. The plant has pumped more than three billion gallons of untreated or partially treated wastewater into local waterways since then.
Mike DeFrancisci, executive director of the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission, would only say “ASAP” when asked when repairs to the sprawling facility could be made.
Until then, the main outfall will continue dumping millions of gallons of partially treated human waste a day at a point close to the Statue of Liberty across from Manhattan.
“We’ve never had the facility flood like this,” he said.
Pathogens in partially treated waste are a health hazard and public safety threat, officials said.
Fishing, crabbing and shellfishing bans in the New Jersey waters of the harbor will remain in effect, said Larry Ragonese, a Department of Environmental Protection spokesman.
The New York City Department of Environmental Protection also issued an advisory to residents to avoid contact with the water.
The potential of having a crisis of HUGE “environmental reservoir of MRSA” proportions…
Pretty darn scary.
[via SOTT.net]A team led by researchers at the University of Maryland School of Public Health has found that the “superbug” methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is prevalent at several U.S. wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs). MRSA is well known for causing difficult-to-treat and potentially fatal bacterial infections in hospital patients, but since the late 1990s it has also been infecting otherwise healthy people in community settings.
“MRSA infections acquired outside of hospital settings–known as community-acquired MRSA or CA-MRSA–are on the rise and can be just as severe as hospital-acquired MRSA. However, we still do not fully understand the potential environmental sources of MRSA or how people in the community come in contact with this microorganism,” says Amy R. Sapkota, assistant professor in the Maryland Institute for Applied Environmental Health and research study leader. [See article above]
“This was the first study to investigate U.S. wastewater as a potential environmental reservoir of MRSA.”
Because infected people can shed MRSA from their noses and skin and through their feces, wastewater treatment plants are a likely reservoir for the bacteria. Swedish researchers have previously identified the presence of MRSA in WWTPs in Sweden, and this new UMD-led study confirms the presence of MRSA in U.S. facilities. The study was published in the November issue of the journal Environmental Health Perspectives.
The research team, including University of Maryland School of Public Health and University of Nebraska Medical Center researchers, collected wastewater samples throughout the treatment process at two Mid-Atlantic and two Midwestern WWTPs. These plants were chosen, in part, because treated effluent discharged from these plants is reused as “reclaimed wastewater” in spray irrigation activities. The researchers were interested in whether MRSA remained in the effluent.
They found that MRSA, as well as a related pathogen, methicillin-susceptible Staphylococcus aureus (MSSA),were present at all four WWTPs, with MRSA in half of all samples and MSSA in 55 percent.MRSA was present in 83 percent of the influent– the raw sewage–at all plants, butthe percentage of MRSA- and MSSA-positive samples decreased as treatment progressed.
Not to mention?
Life threatening if NYC doesn’t get a sewage plant spigot in place to stem that tide of a bacterial tidal wave.
Human bodies are amazing things when it comes to fighting diseases.
We are VERY able in defending ourselves from foreign body invaders.
Check out this amazing video of a white blood cell as it hunts down Staphylococcus aureus:
It is a neutrophil chasing Staphylococcus aureus by David Rogers, Vanderbilt University
But I hope the people in power in NYC know that there is a HUGE difference between regular Staphylococcus aureus & methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), which is a “superbug”.
And often a deadly one.
One which could very possibly, and most likely…
Be spilling into the harbor, unceasingly, even now.
As threats go, I must say that this one?
Far scarier than anything NYC has been under in a long time.
So, word of warning dear, New Yorkers:
For will never truly know, until it is far too late…
Just what lurks inside.
A thousand plus years ago or so…
The “dangerous dead” were treated very much like one would THINK “dangerous dead” things should be treated.
And before you go all, “Wait–Wha?! There are dangerous dead things?”
Apparently THEY thank so
[via Discovery] Details of one of the few “vampire” burials in Britain have emerged as a new archaeological report details the long forgotten discovery of a skeleton found buried with metal spikes through shoulders, heart area and ankles.
Dating from 550-700 A.D., the skeleton was unearthed in 1959 in the minster town of Southwell, Nottinghamshire, during excavations in preparation for a new school. The dig also turned up Roman remains.
Archaeologist Charles Daniels immediately recognized the skeletal remains as being out of the ordinary, but no further investigation was carried out at that time.
“Daniels did jokingly comment he had ‘checked the eye teeth,’ clearly associating the skeleton with the vampire being,” Matthew Beresford, of Southwell Archaeology told Discovery News.
“However, the skeleton had largely been forgotten about since then,” Beresford said.
The author of a detailed report on the Southwell skeleton, as well as other two books on the subject of the “vampire” being, Beresford looked at the wider context for the burial, including excavations that occurred in the past decades near the “deviant” burial.
He learned 225 skeletons were discovered in the area in 1971.
“We can only ponder as to whether any of those skeletons had a similar practice bestowed upon them,” he said.
Only a handful of deviant burials have been recognized in the UK. “Dangerous dead” such as vampires were interred with particular rituals to prevent them rising from their graves and attacking the living.
When it comes to being properly afraid of dead things…
It’s nice to know SOMEONE thinks so.
Freakin’ jeez this looks stupid.
A funny new twist on a classic love story, WARM BODIES is a poignant tale about the power of human connection. After a zombie epidemic, R (a highly unusual zombie) encounters Julie (a human survivor), and rescues her from a zombie attack. Julie sees that R is different from the other zombies, and as the two form a special relationship in their struggle for survival, R becomes increasingly more human — setting off an exciting, romantic, and often comical chain of events that begins to transform the other zombies and maybe even the whole lifeless world.
If this stupid rombie (romantic ZOMBIE) movie finds success?
I will have utterly…
Lost ALL faith in mankind.
And considering the phenomenal success of the Twilight franchise…
My faith in mankind?
Already pretty darn iffy.
