[via Weekly World News] President Barack Obama has agreed to play in the final two rounds of the Masters.
It will be the first time a sitting President (or any President) will compete in the Masters, but President Obama loves golf so much that he is willing to put aside his busy schedule and team up with Tiger Woods for two rounds of competitive golf.
“The President is confident that the other golfers will defer to him on the golf course and he is looking forward to wearing the green jacket on Sunday,” said a source in the White House.
President Obama has a 17 handicap, but he is still going to be placed at the top of the leader board.
“The President deserves to be recognized for his golf skills, he is entitled to a green jacket. It’s his to lose.”
Sources in the White House said that he would be willing to share a small portion of the $1.44 million prize for the Masters with the other golfers. ”The President believes in sharing his wealth and he will donate up to $20,000 to be divided all the other golfers participating in the Master. ”He’s being very generous.” [Read More]

Probably not.
But it sure would be fun to see that golfing battle, eh?
Instead, however, Obama is undertaking a headier challenge than the mere Masters…
Southerners.
Yikes.
Yep, Obama is taking on a the traditions of an ‘Old Boys Club’, deep in the heart of the South.
And with Mitt’s help?
These Yankees will claim victory for their cause!

[via AP] A White House spokesman said Thursday that President Barack Obama believes women should be admitted as
members to the all-male Augusta National, home of the Masters golf tournament.
White House press secretary Jay Carney told reporters that Obama’s “personal opinion is that women should be admitted” to the golf club. Carney said it was “up to the club to decide” but Obama told him he personally thinks women should be welcome.
“We’re kind of long past the time when women should be excluded from anything,” Carney said.
Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, Obama’s likely challenger in the fall, said “of course” he would allow women in “if I could run Augusta.”
“Of course. I am not a member of Augusta. I don’t know if I would qualify. My golf game is not that good,” Romney told reporters as he chatted with supporters after a campaign stop in Pennsylvania. “If I could run Augusta, which isn’t likely to happen, of course I’d have women.”
One of the club’s longtime sponsors, IBM, has a new female CEO, Virginia Rometty. The last four CEOs at IBM, all male, have been invited to be members.

Not surprising, knowing Southerners, like I do…
And knowing how much they LOVE there traditions?
The chances of a woman becoming a member of Augusta Golf Club is about as likely as Obama ACTUALLY playing in the Masters.
No matter how much people would enjoy seeing it…
Get a grip people, it’s just not going to happen.
