Should I be worried? I’m beginning to wonder.
OK.
Admittedly I was joking just yesterday about the 1,000′s of birds falling from the sky in Arkansas lending to some sort of ‘end of the world’ scenario.
Now, adding THIS to the mix…
Thousands of dead fish have turned up in an Arkansas river just days after 3,000 birds mysteriously dropped dead from the sky, but authorities say the deaths are not related. [Come on, would they TELL us if they were? Pffft. Doubtful.]
An estimated 100,000 dead drum fish are floating along a 20-mile stretch of the Arkansas River and washing up on the river’s banks near the town of Ozark in the northwestern part of the state.
The dead fish were discovered just after 3,000 red-wing blackbirds fell from the sky in the town of Beebe, [no]more than 100 miles from the site of the dead fish. Officials, who tripled the early estimates of the number of dead birds, said the bird deaths may have been caused by lightning or by stress from fireworks and said they were unrelated to the fish kill. [Of COURSE they did.] [Read More]
I am not a big fan of ’end of the world’ scenarios and mostly think they are full of garbage, but one must admit, this is bothersome.
Especially after I read THIS and it got me thinking…
Archaeologists trying to unravel why ancient southwestern Illinois city suddenly ended
EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (AP) — Archaeologists who have uncovered the remains of a prehistoric city beneath what is now East St. Louis are trying to unravel why that ancient city was abandoned while another one just to the east managed to survive two more centuries.
Archaeologists believe Native Americans abandoned the city of roughly 3,000 or more people around the year 1200. That’s 200 years before a bigger settlement at nearby Cahokia Mounds ended inexplicably. [Read More]
Admittedly Illinois City is NOT this area of Arkansas, but I tell you if the archaeologists digging around in IL find the remains of thousands of dead birds and fish? I am going to jump on my crazy train here and say that YES someone is going to need to man-up and tell those living in Arkansas’ new Valley of the Dead to get the heck OUT OF THERE!
Wow.
These two articles merged together in my head brought on some pretty apocalyptic thoughts…
I hate when that happens. My imagination on a GOOD day in way more than enough to contend with, thank you. No crazy fuel is needed.
Now I need to go rinse out my brain…
I’m thinking bleach.
Cause just…
Yikes.

Oops oops oops
You can laugh at me but I thing there is darkness in the name Beebe . When I first time saw the name regardless of what happened I fell little chilly . This name is bad ,bad omen . Bruhahaha
I am serious actually . They said that was 12 loud explosions before the birds started to fall down and psst It is connected with dead fish . What about some secret extreme frecvency bomb that only birds and fish can be killed with . Little experiment just in time for hysteria about 2012 , little thing to show us what is in store for next 2 years .
Have to say I enjoy the mystery and all the bad stuff that could follow . I am sick , I know .
Definitely connected.
Yes, I suppose it could be that, but no matter WHAT it is I think its a fascinating story that keeps building the ‘scary’ tone as we head into 2012 for SURE. Good stuff indeed. And you are sick, my friend, you are no more sick than I…I think its fairly awesome.
Well, ok. Maybe not for the birds or fish. *laughs*
“laughs”
We are tad sick and crazy but fairly awesome .
The best darkness buddies that the deep dark abyss could produce.
I forgot but my mom remanded me that she used to tell me that I was darker then pitch black night .
Never understood why .
I thought I was Mary Sunshine
Fairly awesome? It’s true.
Think things like this should be looked at very carefully. But the weather that weekend in that area could have done in the birds. Fish dying off is a semi-regular event. Have seen it along the cost and in various lakes. (fresh and salt water)
Personally, I think its a magnetic thing that is causing the compass in both fish and birds to get messed up, but that’s just me. Only thing that makes sense because as more and MORE cases happen, it takes the first random event from being RANDOM into a whole new territory of purposeful functionality though the exact “What the heck!?” is still in question.
